Keap It is a returns analytics tool built for Shopify clothing brands. We connect to your Shopify store and returns app to help you understand why customers return products, surface patterns in your return data, and lower your return rate.

To provide the service, we collect:

• Shopify store data — orders, products, and returns synced from your store via the Shopify API.
• Behavioural data — when you enable our tracking pixel, we collect page views and clicks from your storefront to help correlate browsing behaviour with returns.
• Email addresses — used to send you scheduled reports, notifications, and (where enabled) exchange intervention emails.

• To produce returns analytics and dashboards.
• To generate AI-powered insights about your return data.
• To deliver scheduled reports to your inbox.
• To send exchange intervention emails that encourage exchanges over refunds, where you have enabled this feature.

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Supabase in the cloud. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it.

We rely on the following providers to run Keap It:

• Shopify API — to sync your store, order, and returns data.
• Anthropic — to power AI-generated insights.
• Resend — to deliver emails (reports, notifications, and intervention messages).
• Vercel — to host the application.

• Session cookie — strictly necessary to keep you signed in. Always active.
• Consent cookie — remembers your cookie and tracking preferences.
• Pixel tracking — only set on your storefront with the visitor's consent.

We process personal data in line with the UK GDPR. Our lawful bases are:

• Legitimate interest — for providing returns analytics to merchants.
• Consent — for behavioural pixel tracking on storefronts.

We retain your data for as long as your merchant account remains active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, subject to any legal obligations to retain it.

As a merchant, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Deletion of your data.
• Portability — receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
